We are pleased to announce the availability of travel awards again this year to support research trainees at NCH. 

Travel awards of up to $1500 each will be available to trainees for travel to national conferences or meetings to present original research.  Applicants should submit all meeting information (name, date, location, affiliated professional or scientific society), abstract, a brief statement describing the trainee’s contribution to the work to be presented and the value of the meeting to be attended to the training experience (a paragraph or half-page maximum). This is all included in the submission form.  

Proof of acceptance of the abstract will be required before funds are released.  All travel awardees must commit to present their work as a Poster of the Week talk.

The number of awards will depend on the number of meritorious awards submitted as well as available funds.   

There will be three application deadlines annually:

• Applications are due the third monday of November for conferences taking place January 1 through April 30.
• Applications are due the third monday of March for conferences taking place May 1 – Aug. 31.
• Applications are due the third monday of July for conferences taking place Sept. 1 – December 31.
